Hi, I’m Darcy.
I’m happy you’re here.
I recently relocated to Rockford, Illinois from Des Moines, Iowa. My partner and I have 4 children between us. We also have 2 velcro Australian Shepherds, 12 chickens, 4 ducks, and a cat.
We all know just how challenging 2020 was. But I want to use this space to talk about Covid’s silver lining for me – painting. Until the pandemic forced most of humanity to stop what we were doing, we were all busy: busy with lives, patterns, and habits until we were forced to halt.
Like for many of you, 2020 presented some stressful life moments. I turned to painting as an escape and a way to fill my quarantine hours. Darcy Milder Art was born in the months of quarantine. Hours turned into paintings, turned into messages from loved ones asking how they could get a painting of their own.
I love using color in unexpected ways, creating the faces we love best in the places we call home. I’d love to help you elevate your art collection.
